Basbousa(Egyptian Semolina Cake)

Ingredients

1. Semolina 1 and half cup
2. All purpose flour half cup
3. Sugar 1 cup
4. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
5. Egg 1
6. Milk half cup
7. Oil half cup

Recipe

thaFirst of all take a large bowl and mix semolina, all purpose flour ,sugar,baking powder and mix all well then put milk ,oil and egg and mix well .now put all  mixture in ur baking tray and put inside your oven.

sugar syrup

take one cup of sugar and half cup of water and mix well and put it on medium heat and mix until sugar dissolved propely and put 4 drops of lemon juice now and remove from heat, let it cool down at room temprature.

preheating Oven 


preheat your oven for about 15 mins on 180 degrees.now bake your cake for about 40 to 45 minutes.it also depend on the oven .when ur cake turn golden brown from above than cut ur cake in diamond shape or square  pour  your sugar syrup on the above of ur semolina cake or basbousa than again put inside the oven and bake for about 10 minutes .After 10 mins ur cake is ready serve with tea or cofee.
